This Part of GB/T 6185 is one national standard of “Prevailing torque type
hexagon nuts” series. This series includes.

This Part is the first part of GB/T 6185.
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 6185.1-2000 Prevailing torque type all-metal
hexagon nuts, style 2. Compared with GB/T 6185.1-2000, the main technical
changes are as follows.
- deleted “If other technical requirements are required, ... select among
(such as GB/T 3098.9 and GB/T 3103.1)” (Clause 1 of Edition 2000);
- unified reference thread standards as GB/T 193, GB/T 9145 (Clause 2);
Prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts, style 2
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 6185 specifies type sizes, technical conditions and marks of
prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts, style 2.
This Standard is applicable to prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts,
style 2 of which thread sizes are M5 ~ M36, performance grades are 5, 8, 10
and 12, the product grades are A and B. Grade A is used for nuts of which D ≤
16 mm; Grade B is used for nuts of which D > 16 mm.
NOTE In addition to mw and hmax, this nut equals to GB/T 6175 nut.
