Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Directives for standardization - Part 1.Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents". This document is Part 1 of GB/T 4772 "Dimensions and output series for rotating electrical machines". The following parts of GB/T 4772 have been published. - Part 1.Frame numbers 56 to 400 and flange numbers 55 to 1080; - Part 2.Frame numbers 355 to 1000 and flange numbers 1180 to 2360; - Part 3.Small built-in motors - Flange numbers BF10 to BF50. This document replaces GB/T 4772.1-1999 "Dimensions and output series for rotating electrical machines - Part 1.Frame numbers 56 to 400 and flange numbers 55 to 1080". Compared to GB/T 4772.1-1999, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the major technical changes are as follows. - ADD the motor dimension symbols such as AC' and BC (see Chapter 4); - CHANGE the motor dimension symbol description (see Chapter 5; Chapter 4 of the 1999 edition); - CHANGE the installation dimension tables for foot-mounted motors and flange- mounted motors (see Tables 1 and 2; Tables 1 and 3 of the 1999 edition); - CHANGE the tables of key, keyway, shaft dimensions, adding dimensions for D values of 120 to 150 (see Table 3; Table 4 of the 1999 edition); - CHANGE the shaft-to-foot parallelism (see 8.2; C4.1 of the 1999 edition); - CHANGE the parallelism of the keyway to the shaft axis (see 8.3; C5.1 of the 1999 edition); - CHANGE the lateral displacement of the keyway (see 8.4; C5.2 of the 1999 edition); - CHANGE the shaft runout test method (see 9.2; C6.2 of the 1999 edition); - ADD test methods for shaft parallelism to the foot plane, keyway parallelism to the shaft axis, keyway lateral displacement (see 9.5, 9.6, 9.7); - CHANGE the preferred rated output power table (see Table 6; Table 7 of the 1999 edition); - ADD the relationship between frame number, shaft extension, rated power, flange number (see Chapter 11). This document identically adopts IEC 60072-1.2022 "Rotating electrical machines - Dimensions and output series - Part 1.Frame number 56 to 400 and flange numbers 55 to 1080". This document has been modified for the following minimal editorial purposes. - To align with existing standards, CHANGE the standard title to "Dimensions and output series for rotating electrical machines - Part 1.Frame numbers 56 to 400 and flame number 55 to 1080". The previous versions of this document and the documents it replaces are as follows. - It was first published in 1984 as GB/T 4772.1-1984; - It was first revised in 1999, incorporating the content of GB/T 4826-1984 "Output ratings for rotating electrical machines"; - This is the second revision. Dimensions and output series for rotating electrical machines - Part 1.Frame numbers 56 to 400 and flame number 55 to 1080

1 Scope

This document applies to rotating motors for most industrial applications, with the following size and power ranges. - Foot-mounted. Shaft height. 56 mm ~ 400 mm; - Flange-mounted. Flange base circle diameter. 55 mm ~ 1080 mm. This document specifies the correspondence between mounting dimensions, shaft extension dimensions, output power ratings and frame numbers.

3 Terms and definitions

This document does not require the use of defined terms and definitions. ISO and IEC maintain terminology databases for standardization at the following addresses.

4 Symbols

4.1 Dimensional symbols The following specified symbols are illustrated using the dimension diagram in Figure 1.Mandatory dimensions are marked with an *. *A. Distance between the axis of the anchor bolt holes (end view) AA. Foot width (end view) AB. Distance between the outer edges of the foot (end view) AC. Maximum width of the motor (maximum outer dimensions, including the fan housing; not including the terminal box and foot) AC'. Maximum height of the motor (maximum outer dimensions) AD. Distance from the vertical centerline of the motor to the edge of the terminal box or other protruding component mounted on the side of the motor *B. Distance between the axis of the anchor bolt holes (side view) BA. Foot length (D end; side view)

5 Motor dimension designation

5.1 Frame number Motors can be designated by frame number, which is defined as the distance from the motor axis to the bottom of the foot (H dimension). The relationship between H dimension and fixed dimensions (A, B, C, K) is shown in Table 1. Recommended letter designations for frame number. - S, short frame number; - M, medium frame number; - L, long frame number. Table B.1 in Appendix B provides other recommended frame number letters. Note. Frame numbers also apply to motors without feet. 5.2 Flange number The flange number is defined as the base diameter M. Table 2 shows the dimensions of M and its relationship to the fixed dimensions (N, P, R, S, T). The location of the holes in the mounting flange is shown in Figure 1. Recommended flange number letters. - FF flange, with through holes; - FT flange, with threaded holes. 5.3 Shaft extension The shaft size designation is defined by the shaft extension diameter D. Table 3 shows the dimensions of D and its relationship to related dimensions (e.g., E, key).

6 Terminal box location

6.1 Motors with foot Viewed from the D-end of the motor, the terminal box should be located within an angle of 10° from the motor's centerline to the right horizontal centerline, with its centerline at the top of the motor and below the motor's centerline to the right. In addition to the top location, the manufacturer may also locate the terminal box on the left side upon user request. Note. Provision should be made to ensure that cables can enter the terminal box from any of the four mutually perpendicular directions. 6.2 Motors without foot The terminal box location is not specified.

7 Mounting dimensions and tolerances

7.1 Overview Tables 7 ~ 10 in Chapter 11 provide the corresponding relationships between shaft extension, flange number, foot size, output power and frame number. 7.2 Foot-mounted motors A, B, C, K shall be selected from Table 1. ......
