Compared with GB/T 4213-1992, the main changes are as follows. - UPDATE the normative references; - REVISE and SUPPLEMENT partially the nominal diameter series and nominal pressure grade series; - DELETE the signal range; - ADD maximum allowable value of dead band; - REVISE the requirements and test range for the hysteresis plus dead band and the deviation between the initial and terminal points; - ADD the consideration to the noise prediction and calculation; - ADD the test requirements of leakage amount when valve delivered separately in the inspection rules; - REVISE partially the marking to highlight the compulsory mark; - CHANGE the notes with demanding or regulatory into test; - REVISE editorially the Standard in accordance with the provisions in GB/T 1.1-2000. This Standard applies to various pneumatic industrial process control valves which composed of pneumatic actuator and valve (hereinafter referred to as “control valve”). The relevant contents in this Standard also apply to the independent pneumatic actuator and valve components. This Standard do not apply to control valves on which the State has specific requirements of working conditions, such as enduring the radioactive working conditions. 2 Normative references The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies. GB/T 15464 General-purpose specification for the packaging of instrumentation products GB/T 17213 (All the parts) Industrial-process control valves JB/T 8212-1999 Terms for final controlling element 3 Terms and definitions The terms and definition established in GB/T 17213 and JB/T 8218-1999 apply to this Standard. 4 Product classification and general requirements 4.1 Classification according to motion manner of control valve a) linear motion control valve; b) Rotary motion control valve. 4.2 Classification according to adjustment mode of control valve a) regulating type; b) cutting-off type; c) regulating and cutting-off type. 4.3 Classification according to action mode of control valve a) air to close type; b) air to open type. 4.4 Classification according to actuator mode of control valve a) pneumatic diaphragm control valve; b) pneumatic piston control valve. 4.5 Nominal diameter (DN) Select the values following the nominal diameter DN of control valve from the following optimal number system; the organization is millimeters (mm); 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 80, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000. 4.6 Nominal pressure (PN) Select the values following the nominal pressure mark PN of control valve from the following values; the organization is 1/10 megapascal (1/10 MPa); 2, 5, 6, 10, 16, 20, 25, 40, 50, 64, 100, 110, 160, 250, 260, 320, 420, 1600, 2500. Note. the corresponding relationship between the nominal pressure parts marked in the forms of PN and Class. PN20. class 150; PN 50. class 300; PN 64. class 400; PN110. class 600; PN160. class 900; PN260. class 1500; PN420. class 2500. 4.7 Range of input signal a) range of standard input pressure signal of control valve. 20kPa~100kPa; b) for the cutting-off type control valves, select the range of input signal randomly within the rated pressure of air source; threaded; b) the type and size of the end connection of control valve shall conform to the provisions in GB/T 17213 and other corresponding national standards and industrial standards; c) other standards or the specific type and size of the end connection required by the user (the ordering party). 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Basic error The basic error of control valve shall be not more than the basic error limitations specified in Table 1; the basic error shall be expressed by the percentage of rated travel of control valve. The control valves of which the pressure range of spring is beyond 20 kPa~100 kPa, 40 kPa~200 kPa, 60 kPa~300 kPa and the cutting-off type control valves shall not be tested. 5.2 Hysteresis plus dead band The hysteresis plus dead band of control valve shall be not beyond the provisions in Table 1. The hysteresis plus dead band shall be expressed by the percentage of rated travel of control valve. The control valve without positioner and of which the pressure range of spring is beyond 20 kPa~100 kPa, 40 kPa~200 kPa, 60 kPa~300 kPa and the cutting-off type control valve shall not be tested. 5.3 Dead band The dead band of control valve shall be not beyond the provisions in Table 1. The dead band shall be expressed by the percentage of the input signal measuring range of control valve. The control valves of which the pressure range of spring is beyond 20 kPa~100 kPa, 40 kPa~200 kPa, 60 kPa~300 kPa and the cutting-off type control valves shall not be tested. 5.4 Deviation between the initial and terminal points When the input signal of pneumatic actuator is the upper or lower limitation value, the initial point deviation of the air to open type control valve and the terminal point deviation of the air to close type control valve shall be not beyond the provisions in Table 1. The deviation between the initial and terminal point shall be expressed by the percentage of rated travel of control valve. The cutting-off type control valve shall not be tested. dimensionless; F - the ratio of specific heat coefficient, (air within the range of specified temperature, F =1), which is dimensionless; TX - the differential pressure ratio coefficient of control valve without fittings under the condition of choked flow, which is dimensionless; 1p - the absolute pressure in front of valve, kPa; 2p - the absolute pressure behind the value, kPa; p - the differential pressure in front and behind the valve, kPa; t - the temperature of test medium, which is taken as 20°C; G - the proportion of gases, air=1; 0/  - the relative density (water within the range of specified temperature, 0/  =1). 5.7 Sealing of stuffing box and other joints The stuffing box and other joints of the control valve shall ensure having no seepage phenomenon under 1.1 times of the nominal pressure. The test pressure of control valves for special purpose shall be negotiated by the manufacture and the user (the ordering party). 5.8 Sealing of the air chamber The air chamber of pneumatic actuator shall be ensured to be air tight.
