When testing, the transverse sections of both ends of the steel bar shall be applied the protective layer (such as epoxy resin). The test results, except for the transverse sections, shall be that the steel bar surface is free from leakage points and intergranular corrosion cracks caused by the corrosion. 7.7 Steel bar connection The steel bars shall be mechanically connected; the joints shall be made of the materials that are anti-corrosive and match the strength level of the steel bar. 7.8 Surface quality 7.8.1 The stainless-steel coating of the steel bar shall completely cover the substrate; except for the transverse sections on both sides of the steel bar, its exterior surface shall be free of visible uncovered positions. 7.8.2 The surface of the steel bar shall not have any defects that may affect the use performance. 7.9 Delivery status and type 7.9.1 Steel bar shall be delivered in hot-rolled pickling conditions. 7.9.2 The plain steel bar can be delivered in straight strip or coil condition. The ribbed steel bar is generally delivered in straight strip condition; the ribbed steel bar with diameter no greater than 16mm can also be delivered in coil condition. 8 Test Methods 8.1 Inspection items and methods 8.1.1 The inspection items, sampling methods and test methods of each batch of steel bars shall conform to the provisions of Table 5. 8.2.1 The samples for tensile, bending, reverse bending tests are not allowed to be turned. 8.2.2 When taking the reverse bending test, firstly bend the sample in the forward direction by 90°; then keep it warm at 100°C±10°C for no less than 30min; after the natural cooling, bend the sample in the reverse direction by 20°. Both the bending angles shall be measured on load. When the supplier can guarantee the reverse bending performance of the steel bar after artificial aging, the sample after forward bending can also directly bent reversely at the room temperature. 8.2.3 The cross-sectional area for calculating the strength of the steel bar shall take the nominal cross-sectional area specified in GB/T 1499.1 and GB/T 1499.2. 8.3 Shape and size measurement 8.3.1 The measurement of transverse rib height of the ribbed steel bar shall be carried out by measuring the average value of transverse rib center height on both sides of the same section; namely, measure the maximum outer diameter of the steel bar; then the inner diameter of such place is subtracted; half of the obtained result value shall be the rib height, which shall be accurate to 0.1mm. 8.3.2 Th measurement of transverse rib interval of the ribbed steel bar shall be carried out by measuring the average rib interval. Namely, measure the center distance from the first transverse rib to the eleventh transverse rib on the same side; such value is divided by 10; then the rib interval is obtained, which shall be accurate to 0.1mm. 8.4 Measurement of coating thickness 8.4.1 The coating thickness of ribbed steel bar shall be measured on the inner diameter positions of the steel bar. 8.4.2 The non-magnetic coating thickness shall be measured by the magnetic thickness gauge; it can also be measured as specified in 8.4.3. 8.4.3 The magnetic coating thickness can use measuring microscope or the like to measure on the cross-section surface of the steel bar. 8.5 Measurement of weight tolerance The measurement of weight tolerance between the plain steel bar and ribbed steel bar shall be carried out as per the provisions of GB/T 1499.1 and GB/T 1499.2, respectively. 8.6 Rounding off of the numerical value The rounding off and judgment of the numerical value for the test results shall conform to the provisions of YB/T 081. The reinspection and judgment of steel bar shall conform to the provisions of GB/T 17505. 10 Package, Marking and Quality Certificate 10.1 The plain steel bar can be rolled on its surface with a surface mark such as a raised factory name. 10.2 The surface marking of the ribbed steel bar shall conform to the following provisions. a) The surface of the ribbed steel bar shall be rolled with designation mark; then rolled sequentially the registered factory name (or trademark), and diameter millimeter numbers. b) The steel bar designation is expressed by combination of English letters and Arabic numerals; for instance, SC4 and SC5 indicates HRB400SC and HRB500SC, respectively. The diameter millimeter number is expressed by Arabic numerals. c) The mark shall be clear; the mark size shall be specified by the supplier according to the diameter of the steel bar; the transverse rib intersecting the mark may be cancelled. 10.3 The ends of the steel bar shall be treated for rust prevention. 10.4 The package, marking and quality certificate of the steel bar shall conform to the relevant provisions of GB/T 2101. ......
