shown in Figure 1.
5.3 Weight and permissible deviation
Welded H-section steel shall be delivered according to the theoretical weight
(the theoretical weight shall be calculated regarding the density as 7.85 g/cm3).
Agreed upon between he supply and demand parties and specified in the
contract, it may delivery according to the actual weight. Unless contracted, the
weight deviation of a single piece of welded H-section steel shall not exceed
±6 %, and the weight deviation of batch delivery shall not exceed ±4 %.
6 Technical requirements and production

such as rust, pitting or scratch, the depth shall not exceed one-half of the
negative permissible deviation of the thickness of the steel. The defects on the
surface of the steel shall be allowed to be removed by mechanical means such
as shoveling and polishing, and allowed to be repaired by welding; the repair
process and quality inspection shall comply with the specifications of GB 50661.

17493.
6.2.2 The welding material used for welded H-section steel shall be re-
inspected according to the production batch number. If the source of the
certified product is stable and the three consecutive batches pass the site
reinspection on the very first try, the capacity of the inspection batch may be
doubled for the site reinspection. In the case of the inspection after the
expansion of the inspection batch, if it fails, it shall be re-accepted before the
6.4.1 Welders engaged in the manufacture of welded H-section steel shall take
technical qualification examinations according to the requirements of steel type,
welding joint form, welding method, welding position, etc., and obtain the
corresponding certificate of conformity. The certified welder shall weld within
the recognize range of the certificate of conformity.
6.4.2 Welding technicians and welding inspectors engaged in the manufacture
of H-section steel shall comply with the relevant specifications of CECS 331
and obtain corresponding qualification certificates.
6.4.3 When the contract drawings or technical documents require post-weld
heat treatment, the heat treatment process, equipment and personnel shall
comply with the specifications of relevant standards.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 Inspection and acceptance
7.1.1 The Inspection and acceptance of welded H-section steel finished
products shall be organized by the quality supervision department of the
production organization.
7.1.2 The production organization shall ensure that the delivered steel meets
the requirements of this Standard or the contract. The demand party has the
right to inspect and accept any of the inspection items specified in this Standard
or contract.
7.2 Batching rules
The inspection batch of welded H-section steel shall be determined according
to product specification, raw material and welding process. The same batch of
welded H-section steel shall have the same specification, using steel and
welding materials of the same grade (model), quality grade, delivery conditions,
and using the same processing and welding process; each batch is not more
than 300 t.
7.3 Sampling rules
7.3.1 The sampling method for the chemical composition inspection of welded
H-section steel shall be in accordance with the relevant specifications of GB/T
20066. The sampling part and sampling method of the mechanical property test
shall be in accordance with the relevant specifications of GB/T 2975. If the
manufacturer can provide the corresponding raw material site reinspection
reports and traceability materials, the finished product inspection may be
exempted from the sampling test of chemical and mechanical properties, or the
7.5.2 Non-destructive testing
7.5.2.1 The non-destructive testing shall be carried out after passing the
appearance inspection. Specifically, it shall comply with the relevant
specifications of GB 50661-2011.
7.5.2.2 For welds required full penetration, the test for internal imperfections
shall comply with the following specifications.
a) Grade I welds shall be 100 % tested, and the qualification level shall
comply with the requirements of level II or above level II of Grade B
inspection in GB 50661-2011;
b) Grade II welds shall be subjected to sampling inspection. The sampling
inspection ratio shall not be less than 20 %. The qualification level shall
comply with the requirements of level III or above level III of Grade B
inspection in GB 50661-2011.
7.5.2.3 Grade III welds shall be tested in accordance with design requirements.
7.5.2.4 In the case of one of the following conditions, it should ultrasonically test
the flange plate at the joint groove before welding or test the layered tear of the
flange plate after welding.
a) It is found that the steel plate has an interlayer imperfection;
b) Non-Z-direction performance steel plates with the thickness of flange plate
and web of not less than 20 mm;
c) The thickness of web is greater than that of flange plate, and the working
stress perpendicular to the thickness direction of the flange plate is greater.
7.5.2.5 Radiation test method may be used to supplement the test as needed.
7.5.2.6 Radiation testing shall comply with the relevant specifications of GB/T
