1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements for the limit of heavy metal, vinyl
chloride monomer and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, test methods, and inspection
rules for unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) profiles for the doors and
windows (hereinafter referred to as profiles).
This Standard is applicable to unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) profiles
for the doors and windows made with polyvinyl chloride resin as the main raw
material and adding appropriate additives and auxiliary materials.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 8814 and the following ones apply to
this document.

White profiles and full-body color profiles are directly sampled from the profiles.
For color profiles (including co-extrusion, painting, and laminating color
profiles), cut from the visible surface perpendicular to the visible surface. If
necessary, samples are taken from the coating surface and the basis materials
and tested respectively.
MAKE the sample 2 mm×2 mm or smaller and mix well.
5.2 Determination of heavy metal limit
The determination of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium
content is carried out according to GB/T 26125-2011.
5.3 Determination of vinyl chloride monomer content
TEST according to GB/T 4615-2013.
5.4 Determination of content of phthalate ester substances
The determination of phthalate content is carried out in accordance with GB/T
29786-2013.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Type inspection
Type inspection items are all items specified in Clause 4 “Requirements”. Under
normal production conditions, type inspection shall be carried out at least once
a year. If there is one of the following conditions, type inspection shall also be
carried out:
- When the new product is trial-produced and finalized;
- When there are major changes in the production process and its raw
materials;
- When production resumes after a long-term suspension of production.
6.2 Determination rule
When the inspection results of all items meet the requirements of this Standard,
the product is determined as conformity. If there is an inspection result that does
not meet the requirements of this Standard, the product is determined as
nonconformity.
