Table of Contents Foreword ... 3 1 Scope ... 4 2 Terms and definitions ... 4 References ... 8 Indexing ... 9 Remanufacturing - Terminology 1 Scope This Standard specifies the terms and definitions for product remanufacturing. This Standard applies to product remanufacturing production, scientific research and management, etc. It also applies, as a reference, to other related work. 2 Terms and definitions 2.1 Core Products – containing use value – that are no longer used due to functional damage or technical obsolescence. 2.2 Remanufacturing The process of professionally repairing or upgrading the core so that its quality characteristics are not lower than the level of the new prototype. Note 1: The quality characteristics include product function, technical performance, greenness, economy, etc. Note 2: The remanufacturing process generally includes recycling, testing, disassembly, cleaning, classification, assessment, repair processing, reassembly, detection, labeling and packaging of cores. 2.3 Remanufactured product Product that is relaunched for sale after meeting the remanufacturing requirements in the remanufacturing process. 2.4 Resumed remanufacturing Remanufacturing mode that restores the quality characteristics of core. 2.5 Upgrade remanufacturing Remanufacturing mode in which the core is technically transformed, partially updated, and its quality characteristics are improved or enhanced. 2.6 Remanufacturability 2.17 Disassembly The activity of removing and dismantling the core. 2.18 Cleaning The process of removing rust, burrs and various stains on the core and its parts. 2.19 Directly used parts Old parts that can be used directly after cleaning and testing after disassembly. 2.20 Remanufacturable parts Old parts that can be remanufactured to restore or improve their quality characteristics. 2.21 Disposed parts Old parts that are no longer useful. 2.22 Replacement parts New parts selected according to assembly requirements of remanufactured products. 2.23 Reassembly The process of assembling remanufactured qualified parts and partial replacement parts into remanufactured products. 2.24 Life cycle of remanufactured product The whole process from core recycling, remanufacturing processing, sales and use of remanufactured products, to re-disposal of remanufactured products. 2.25 Remanufacturing management A series of activities for planning, organizing, and controlling the entire life cycle of remanufactured products. 2.26 Quality of remanufactured product The extent to which remanufactured product characteristics meet the requirements. 2.27 Remanufacturing system Various resources and combinations thereof for the product remanufacturing process. 2.28 Remanufacturing logistics The flow of a product from the consumer market to the point of remanufacturing and back to the consumer market. 2.29 Remanufacturing rate The percentage of the sum of quantity, sum of quality, and sum of value of qualified remanufactured parts obtained after remanufacturing production and processing of cores of a unit TO the total quantity, total quality, and total value of the corresponding products. They are called quantity remanufacturing rate, quality remanufacturing rate and value remanufacturing rate respectively. 2.30 Remanufacturing labeling Markings and descriptions used to identify remanufactured products. 2.31 Remanufacturer Organizations engaged in the production, processing or sale of remanufactured products. 2.32 Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) The original manufacturer or owner of the new product. 2.33 Independent remanufacturer A product manufacturer that remanufactures products rather than producing new ones. ......
