This Standard was drafted in accordance with rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction by National Automotive Standardization Technical
Committee (SAC/TC 114).

Battery electric passenger cars - Specifications
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements and test methods for pure
electric passenger cars of which the number of seats is 5 and below.
This Standard applies to pure electric passenger cars that use battery-driven power.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 19596 apply to this document.
4 Technical requirements and test methods
4.1 General rules
The vehicle shall be manufactured in accordance with drawings and design documents that are
approved through prescribed procedures.
4.2 Mass distribution
Motor and battery power system of the vehicle shall be reasonably arranged, mass is distributed
uniformly.
4.3 Trunk volume
Vehicles shall have suitable luggage capacity. For 4-seats and 5-seats vehicles, measure according
to GB/T 19514;
4.4 Safety Requirements
4.5 Power Performance Requirements
4.5.1 30 min maximum speed
According to the test methods specified in GB/T 18385, measure the 30 min maximum speed; the
value shall not be less than 80 km/h.
4.5.2 Acceleration performance
According to the test methods specified in GB/T 18385, measure the vehicle’s acceleration
performance at 0 km/h - 50 km/h and 50 km/h - 80 km/h;
4.5.3 Climbing performance
According to the test methods specified in GB/T 18385, measure the vehicle’s climbing speed and
maximum climbing slope; it shall meet the following requirements.
4.6 Low-temperature start-up performance requirements
Under test ambient temperature of -20°C±2°C, dip-car for 8 h, it shall be able to start and drive
normally.
4.7 Driving range
According to the driving range of measurement condition in GB/T 18386, its value shall be greater
than 80 km.
4.8 Steering stability requirements
Conduct the steering stability test according to QC/T 480, the indicators shall satisfy QC/T 480
requirements.
4.9 Reliability requirements
4.9.1 Mileage allocation
Total mileage of reliability driving test is 15 000 km. In which, the strengthen bad-road is 2 000 km, flat
road is 6 000 km, highway is 2 000 km, under working conditions is 5 000 km (working conditions is in
accordance with GB/T 19750).
The power performance test mileage and the mileages of various tests before reliability driving test
can be included in reliability test mileage.
4.9.3 Vehicle Maintenance
Normal vehicle maintenance and charging shall be in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's
requirements.
4.9.4 Performance retest
After the reliability test, perform the retest of 30 min maximum speed and driving range. The 30 min
maximum speed shall not be less than 80% of the value measured in 4.5.1, and shall not be less than
70 km/h;
4.10 Requirements of traction battery installed on vehicle
4.10.1 General requirements
Traction battery, according to their type, shall comply with the requirements of QC/T 742, QC/T 743 or
QC/T 744.
4.10.2 Low-temperature capacity
When the ambient temperature is -20 °C, traction battery module’s capacity shall not be lower than
70% of the capacity at normal temperature.
