This Standard is modified from ISO 23278.2006 ”Non-destructive testing of welds -- Magnetic particle testing of welds -- Acceptance levels” by redrafting method. Non-destructive testing of welds - Magnetic particle testing of welds - Acceptance levels 1 Scope This Standard specifies the acceptance levels of magnetic particle test indication for deficiencies in ferromagnetic steel welds. This acceptance levels are mainly used for manufacturing inspection and, if deemed appropriate, for in-service inspection. The acceptance levels in this standard is based on the test capability expected to be achieved as per the method specified in GB/T 26951 and the parameters recommended in Appendix A. Acceptance levels are related to welding standards, application criteria, technical conditions and regulations.
