Impact ground pressure measurement, monitoring and prevention methods
Part 12. Prevention and control methods for mining protective layers
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 25217 specifies the terms and definitions of the method for controlling the impact pressure of the mining protective layer and the applicable conditions for the exploitation of the protective layer.
And selection principle, protective layer mining design, protection scope and protection effect, pressure relief period.
This part is applicable to the prevention and control of impact ground pressure by mining protective layer in coal seam.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Protective layer
Coal seams that are first mined to eliminate or reduce the risk of impact from adjacent coal seams.
Note. When the protective layer is located above the protected coal seam, it is called the upper protective layer, and it is called the lower protective layer below the protected layer.
3.2
Protected layer protectedseam
Due to the pressure relief effect of the protective layer mining, the impact risk is eliminated or reduced by the adjacent impact coal seam.
3.3
Protection range protectionrange
The protective layer exploits areas that spatially reduce or eliminate the risk of impact from the protected coal seam.
3.4
Maximum protection offset maximumprotectiveverticaldistance
The maximum distance from the protective layer in the normal direction of the coal seam within the protective range during the protection of the protective layer.
3.5
Protection effect
The extent to which the impact risk of the protective layer is eliminated or reduced within the protection of the protective layer.
3.6
Pressure relief period pressurereliefperiod
The time from the end of the protective layer mining to the failure of the pressure relief.
3.7
Pressure relief angle-pressure
In the coal seam propensity profile, the line between the mining boundary of the protective layer and the boundary of the protected area of the protected layer, between the connecting line and the protective layer
Angle.
