GB/T 22725-2008 GB NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ICS 67.040 B 20 Inspection of grain and oils - Determination of pure kernel yield of grain and oils ISSUED ON: NOVEMBER 16, 2008 IMPLEMENTED ON: JANUARY 20, 2009 Issued by: General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of PRC; Standardization Administration of PRC. Table of Contents Foreword ... 3 1 Scope ... 4 2 Normative references ... 4 3 Terms and definitions ... 4 4 Instruments and utensils ... 5 5 Lighting and environmental requirements ... 5 6 Sampling and sample reduction ... 5 7 Operation methods ... 5 8 Calculation of results ... 5 Inspection of grain and oils - Determination of pure kernel yield of grain and oils 1 Scope This standard specifies the terms and definitions, instruments and utensils, lighting and environmental requirements, sample preparation, operation methods and result calculation of the inspection of pure kernel yield and purity rate in grain and oilseeds. This standard applies to the determination of pure kernel yield and purity rate in grain and oilseeds. 2 Normative references The provisions in the following documents become the provisions of this standard through references in this standard. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, parties who reach an agreement based on this standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies to this standard. GB 5491 Inspection of grain and oilseeds - Methods for sampling and sample reduction GB/T 5494-2008 Inspection of grain and oils - Determination of foreign matter and unsound kernels of grain and oilseeds GB/T 22505 Inspection of grain and oils - Sensory analysis environment-lighting 3 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 pure kernel yield The proportion of the grain and oilseed kernels from which foreign impurities have been removed in the mass fraction of the sample, of which the unsound kernels are calculated as half of their masses. 3.2 purity rate The proportion of kernels of net grain after the removal of seedcase in the mass fraction of the sample, of which the unsound kernels are calculated as half of their masses. 4 Instruments and utensils 4.1 Balance: The scale value is 0.01 g or 0.1 g. 4.2 Grain screen. 4.3 Electric filter. 4.4 Sample splitter or sample divider. 4.5 Analysis plate, scissors, tweezers, etc. 5 Lighting and environmental requirements The lighting and environmental requirements during the inspection shall meet the requirements of GB/T 22505. 6 Sampling and sample reduction They shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB 5491. 7 Operation methods 7.1 Inspection of pure kernel yield and purity rate of net grain From the samples that have been inspected for foreign impurities, weigh the net sample (m) according to the provisions of “small sample mass” in Table 1 of GB/T 5494-2008, pick out the unsound kernels according to provisions of quality standards, and then weigh the net sample (m1). 7.2 Inspection of pure kernel yield and purity rate of gross grain According to the provisions of GB/T 5494-2008, weigh the sample (m) for inspection of foreign impurities and unsound kernels. Weigh the unsound kernel mass (m1) and foreign impurity mass (m2) respectively. 8 Calculation of results 8.1 The pure kernel yield and purity rate (X) of net grain are calculated according to ......
