This Standard replaces GB/T 1676-1981 “Determinating the iodine value of
plasticizers”.
There is no technical difference between this Standard and GB/T 1676-1981.
This Standard was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry
Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the Chemical Auxiliaries
Technical Sub-committee of National Standardization Technology Committee of
Rubber and Rubber Products.
Responsible drafting organizations of this Standard. Hengyang Solvent Factory,
and Shanxi Chemical Research Institute.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the method to determine the iodine value of plasticizers.
This Standard applies to the determination of the iodine value of plasticizers.
2 Normative references

3 Term and definition
The following term and definition apply to this Standard.
3.1 Iodine value
The grams of the iodine that is absorbed by 100g of test sample, named as the
iodine value.
4 Reagents and solution
Unless otherwise specified, only the Grade-3 water or the water with the
equivalent purity specified in GB/T 6682 shall be used during the analysis.
Without any other specified requirements, the standard titration solution,
preparations and products used during the analysis shall be prepared according
to the requirements specified in GB/T 601 and GB/T 603.
