Foreword
This standard is modified in relation to ISO 105-B07.2009 "Textiles - Tests for Color
Fastness - Part B07. Complex Colour Fastness to Light-perspiration" (English
version). Compared with ISO 105-B07.2009, the main differences of this standard are
as follows.
— Delete introduction and bibliography;
— Replace the international standard in Normative References with corresponding
national or professional standard, and add reference to GB/T 730 and AATCC
TM 15;
— Add carbon arc lamp light fastness test equipment in the Chapter of Equipment
and Materials;
— Add sampling methods for different test specimens in Chapter 6; the test
specimen dimension is changed to "not less than 45mm×10mm" from "not less
than 40mm×10mm";
— Carry out editorial changes to Chapter 7; "blue wool standard sample" is
changed to "blue wool standard sample 4"; specify exposure end point and the
temperature of Grade 3 water for laundering, and add an annotation with regard
to using blue wool standard sample.
This standard replaces GB/T 14576-1993 "Textiles - Testing Method for Complex
Colour Fastness to Light and Perspiration".
Compared with GB/T 14576-1993, the main changes of this standard are as follows.
— Extend the application scope;
— Add FZ/T 01024 and AATCC TM 15 in Normative References; delete GB/T
7565;
— Modify Chapter 3. Principle;
— Add descriptions to balance, pH meter, artificial perspiration, Grade 3 water and
spectrophotometer or color shading meter to Chapter 4; delete light and
perspiration test container and cotton adjacent fabrics;
— Add perspiration formula and a kind of sour perspiration specified in AATCC TM
15 in Chapter 5;
— Modify Chapter 6. Test Specimen; add sampling method of different specimens;
— Delete Method A in the original standard;
Textiles - Tests for Colour Fastness - Colour Fastness
to Light of Textiles Wetted with Artificial Perspiration

3 Principle
requirements of GB/T 8427.
Note. Other blue wool standard samples may also be adopted and each party concerned shall negotiate and
determine in advance.
7.5 Install the white plate fixed with test specimen and blue wool standard sample to
the specimen holder respectively.
7.6 Place the specimen holder installed with test specimen AND the blue wool
standard sample in the exposure bin of light fastness tester; carry out exposure
according to any exposure condition specified in GB/T 8427 or FZ/T 01096. The
exposure condition shall be negotiated by parties concerned in advance. The light
filtration system and irradiance of light fastness tester shall meet the requirements of
GB/T 8427 or FZ/T 01096.
7.7 Continuously expose to the sun till the color change of blue wool standard
sample 4 reaches Grade 4-5 of gray scale or reaches the color fading rating that is
negotiated by relevant parties concerned in advance; assess with grey scale (4.3) or
meter (4.9); then the exposure may be terminated.
7.8 Take out the test specimen; wash with room temperature Grade 3 water for 1min;
then hang it for drying in air at temperature not exceeding 60°C.
8 Rating
Assess the change in colour of the specimen with grey scale (4.3) or meter (4.9).
9 Test Report
The test report shall include the following content.
a) The test is carried out in accordance with this standard;
b) Detailed information of relevant test specimens;
c) Category of perspiration used;
d) Blue wool standard sample used and numerical rating at the exposure end
point;
e) Numerical rating of complex colour fastness to light and perspiration of the
specimen corresponding to every kind of perspiration used;
f) The model of light fastness tester used and the exposure condition;
g) Any deviation from this standard;
