Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 12548-1990 Motor vehicles - Speedometer and
odometer - Calibration method. Compared with GB/T 12548-1990, the main
technical changes are as follows.
- re-arranged the normative references according to the provisions of GB/T
1.1-2009;
- modified “test conditions” and added 3.2 “vehicle conditions”;
- deleted test method for “wheel rolling radius”;
- deleted 4.1 “calibration method for odometer” and 4.2 “calibration method
for speedometer”;
- modified Annex A “Speedometer, odometer inspection calibration
recording table”.
This Standard was proposed by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
of the People 's Republic of China.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Automobile of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 114).

mounted on vehicle.
This Standard is applicable to all kinds of vehicles.
