Announcement on Publishing the National Standard of"Code for Design of
Environmental Protection of Textile Industry Enterprise"
"Code for Design of Environmental Protection of Textile Industry Enterprise" has been approved
as a national standard with a serial number GB 50425-2008 and shall be implemented from April 1,
2009. Therein, Articles (Items) 3 .1.4, 3 .2.4, 3.23 .12, 4.4.8 (2) and 6.1.9 are compulsory and must be
enforced strictly.
Authorized by the Standard Rating Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-
Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, this code is published by China Planning Press.

Foreword
This code was formulated by Shanghai Textile Architectural Design Research Institute jointly
w ith the relevant organizations accordi ng to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO [2005] No.
124 issued by the Ministry of Construction (MOC)-"Notice on Printing the Development and
Revision Plan (the Second Lot) of Nationa l Engineering Construction Standards and Codes in 2005".
During the formulating process, by means of summarizing the design and operation experience
on environmental engineering of the Chinese textile industry enterprise in recent years and of extensively
asking for opinions all around China from the relevant texti le research and design organizations,
manufacturing enterprise as well as experts and experts from universities and colleges, through repeated
discussion and modification, this code is finally finalized upon review.
This code is composed of eight chapters and one appendix and mainly covers. general provisions,
terms and symbols, waste water treatment, reclamation of waste water, waste gas treatment, disposal
and utilization of waste residue, noise control and greening.
The provisions printed in bold type are compulsory ones and must be enforced strictly.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is in charge of the adm inistration of this
standard and the explanation of the compulsory provisions; China National Textile and Apparel Council
is responsible for the routine management and Shanghai Textile Architectural Design Research institute
is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents. D uring the process of implementing
this code, all relevant organizations are kindly requested to sum up and accumulate your experience in
actual practices, and in case of any supplement and amendment, please send the opinions and
suggestions to Shanghai Textile Architectural Design Research Institute for reference (Address. No.
