General safety requirements
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the definitions and terms, general requirements and
test methods in terms of safety, etc. for rehabilitation training instrument
(hereinafter referred to as the instrument).
This Standard is applicable to the instrument that the physical disabled perform
rehabilitation training at rehabilitation training facility or family under the
guidance of a rehabilitation physician or nursing staff.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard,
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are
encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.
For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies.

equipment - General requirements
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 rehabilitation training instrument
device for rehabilitation of persons with physical dysfunction
3.2 training position
position on the device that satisfies at least one training function for one person
between the two pedals of adjacent motion is less than 60 mm, the inner anti-
skid boss, guard plate or other forms of the foot shall be fixed to prevent slipping.
5.2.8 The instrument for standing training or other needs shall be equipped with
waist guard, leg guard or other auxiliary protection device. The width of the
guard band shall be no less than 80 mm.
5.2.9 The resting part or other necessary parts in contact with the human body
during training shall be protected by soft package.
5.2.10 If the weight’s moving weight is not in the user's field of view when
moving, the protective side shield shall be provided on all other sides except
the user side so as to prevent third parties from accidentally entering the training
area.
5.3 Component structure design requirements
5.3.1 Hand grip
5.3.1.1 The ring hand grip material used for carrying shall be 20mm~30mm in
diameter.
5.3.1.2 For rod-shaped hand grip used for carrying, the material diameter shall
be 30 mm to 45 mm in the case of a circle, and the material width shall be 30
mm to 45 mm in the case of a rectangle.
5.3.1.3 If necessary, the handle shall be assembled and suitable for hand grip,
anti-slip, and non-rotation. There shall be no falling off due to improper fitting
and vibration.
5.3.2 Step ladder
5.3.2.1 The ladder of the step shall be smooth and anti-slip. Straight steps
without kick faces (see Figure 4) and with flanges (see Figure 5) shall not be
used. When the flanged step cannot be avoided, the distance from the
protruding kick surface shall be ≤ 5mm.
shall not be less than 5 mm.
5.6.2 The exposed length of the screw shall not exceed 2 times its pitch. The
protruding part does not allow sharp tips and burrs, or the ends shall be covered
with a smooth nut cap.
5.6.3 The edges and sharp corners of hard materials shall be protected by
round transitions or other permanent protections with a radius greater than 2.5
mm.
5.6.4 The end of the hard pipe shall be blocked by components or pipe plugs,
and shall not fall off due to aging, improper cooperation, vibration and mild man-
made damage.
5.6.5 Weld surface of weldment shall be even and flat. There shall be no defects
such as missing welding, virtual welding, welding, slag inclusion, cracks, burn
through, splashes, etc.
5.6.6 The joint of wooden pieces shall be firmly combined. The joint junction is
not more than 0.2 mm. There shall be no collapse or knife marks on the
machined surface. There shall be no burrs or insects on the surface and edges,
and the sharp corners shall be blunt.
5.6.7 The collage of veneer and other materials shall be tight and flat.
Degumming, bubbling, dents, indentations, etc. are not allowed. Parts made of
wood-based panels shall be edged. Edge banding does not allow degumming,
bubbling.
5.7 Soft package requirements
5.7.1 Various soft package fillings such as seat cushions and backrests shall
be full. The seam edge shall be firm and regular. The outer surface shall not
have defects such as wrinkles, fading, jumpers and breakage.
5.7.2 Parts that come into contact with the human body shall not be made of
fiber-reinforced materials that are irritating to the human body.
5.8 Surface coating
5.8.1 The surface of steel parts (except stainless steel) shall be treated with
anti-rust treatment, such as electroplating, spray molding, etc.
5.8.2 The surface of the sprayed parts shall be uniform in color and smooth.
Defects such as exposed bottom, blistering, falling off, cracking, sag and
obvious scratches, bumps, etc. are not allowed.
5.8.3 The surface of the coated parts shall be bright and even. There shall be
no defects such as rust, bottoming, bubbling, flaking and obvious scratches,
are assessed by visual inspection, hand touching, trial, observation, etc. They
shall be tested by 3 people. Take most of the same conclusions as the
assessment results.
6.2.2 Use Vernier calipers, steel tape measures, steel rulers or special gauges
to measure structural dimensions.
6.3 Stability test
6.3.1 Grounding stability test
Place the test instrument on a plate. Use a feeler to measure the distance
between a foot and the plate, in accordance with 5.4.1.
6.3.2 Tipping stability test
The instrument carries 100 kg test dummy or weight equivalent tester (can be
equipped with weight). Start tilting from the horizontal direction according to the
swing direction of the normal training state or the most unfavorable stable
direction. Record the tilt angle to the nearest of 0.1°.
6.3.3 Reliable positioning test
Place the instrument as required by the instructions. Apply 200N ± 2%
horizontal tension or thrust through the middle of the main frame structure of
the instrument in the direction of force. Observe whether it moves or not.
6.4 Static load test
6.4.1 Bearing part
Apply static load to the most stressed position of the instrument (see 5.5.1.1)
for 5 min. Check if it meets the requirements of 5.5.1.1 after unloading.
6.4.2 Guard belt
After the guard belt on the instrument is connected and fixed according to the
requirements of use, it shall be suspended for 1000N±2% static load for 5min.
Check if it meets the requirements of 5.5.1.2 after unloading.
6.4.3 Breaking strength of pulling rope
Fix one end of the rope. Apply a maximum load of six times the maximum rated
resistance at the other end. Maintain 5 min. Check if it meets the requirements
of 5.5.1.3 after unloading.
6.4.4 Human sling or suspension sling
Apply 2000N ± 2% load force to the human sling or suspension sling on the
