This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, technical
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and the requirements for marking, packaging,
transportation and storage of polyamide 6 drawn textured yarns.
This Standard is applicable to drawn textured yarns processed from polycaprolactam as the raw
material, and with a linear density range of 7 dtex ~ 450 dtex; glossy, semi-dull and full-dull
polyamide 6 drawn textured yarns with a monofilament linear density of 0.4 dtex ~ 5.0 dtex,
and a round cross section.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 3291.1, GB/T 3291.3 and GB/T 4146 (all parts) and
the following are applicable to this document.
3.1 ossified filament
A certain segment of the filament appears in the shape of a bamboo, with single fibers adhering
to each other, with thin stripes, or forming a stiff and shiny filament that lacks curl elasticity
and fluffiness. The one with a length exceeding 2 mm is collectively referred to as ossified
filament.
3.2 tight speck
The twist of the filament is locally concentrated, the segmented filament appears intermittently
on the filament, and the length is less than 2 mm. Its synonym is small ossified filament.
4 Classification and Identification
4.1 In accordance with the amount of titanium dioxide added during production, the products
can be classified into glossy, semi-dull and full-dull yarns.
4.2 Product specifications are identified by linear density (dtex) and the number of filaments
(the number of spinneret holes f).
Example 1.78 dtex/48 f.
Example 2.ply yarn representation 78 dtex/48 f 2.
4.3 Product identification shall include. product specifications, color, product name or batch
No., which can be effectively distinguished.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Product Grading

7 Inspection Rules
7.1 Inspection Items
7.1.1 The items in Table 1 are all assessment items.
7.1.2 The appearance inspection items shall comply with the provisions of 5.4.
7.2 Batch Grouping Rules
Within a certain range, adopt periodic sampling to constitute inspection batches. A production
batch can consist of one inspection batch or several inspection batches.
7.3 Sampling Rules
7.3.1 The laboratory samples for each item test in Table 1 shall be sampled in accordance with
GB/T 6502.Among them, full sampling shall be carried out for the dyeing uniformity test.
7.3.2 The sampling for appearance inspection shall be conducted barrel by barrel.
7.4 Assessment of Inspection Results
7.4.1 The determined values or calculated values of the property items shall be compared with
the limit values of property indicators in Table 1 in accordance with the rounded value
comparison method in GB/T 8170-2008 for grade assessment.
7.4.2 The appearance inspection shall be graded barrel by barrel in accordance with the
provisions of 5.4.
7.4.3 For the assessment of the comprehensive grade of the products, the grade of the lowest
property indicator and appearance indicator in the inspection batch shall be determined as the
grade of the batch of products.
7.5 Re-inspection Rules
7.5.1 General rules
Within three months of the arrival of a batch of products to the recipient, re-inspection can be
requested as a matter of acceptance or if there is any objection to the quality. If more than one-
third of the batch of products has been used, the application for re-inspection is not allowed.
However, if the recipient can provide relevant evidence to prove that the batch of products has
indeed affected the quality of the processed products and caused serious losses, the causes shall
be analyzed, the responsibilities of both parties shall be clarified, and the matter shall be
resolved through negotiation.
7.5.2 Inspection items
Same as 7.1.
R---the actual determined moisture regain rate, expressed in (%).
The conventional mass difference shall not exceed 0.5%; if it exceeds, it shall be determined
through negotiation between the supply-side and the demand-side.
8 Marking, Packaging, Transportation and Storage
8.1 Marking
The packaging box shall be marked with product name, specifications, grade, batch No., net
weight, gross weight, number of coils, packaging date, serial No. of product standard, trademark,
manufacturing enterprise’s name, detailed address and other relevant information, as well as
moisture-proof, handle with care and other warning signs.
8.2 Packaging
8.2.1 Each coil must be wrapped in a plastic bag before being put in the packaging box. There
shall be a positioning device inside the packaging box to fix the coils, and the quality of the
packaging shall be able to ensure that the coils are not damaged.
8.2.2 The size of coils in each packaging box shall be as uniform as possible. Products of
different varieties, specifications, batch numbers and grades shall be respectively packaged, and
mixed packaging is strictly prohibited.
8.2.3 Each batch of products shall be accompanied by a quality inspection sheet.
8.3 Transportation
During transportation, prevent the packaging box from being damaged, affected by moisture,
exposed to the sun, tilted or inverted.
8.4 Storage
The packaging boxes shall be stacked in batches and stored in a dry, clean and well-ventilated
place without direct exposure to the sun.
environment shall be free of other scattered light and reflected light. The visual distance is 0.30
m ~ 0.40 m (0.20 m ~ 0.25 m when inspecting the barrel for broken filaments), and the
observation angle is 40 ~ 60 (parallel to the eye when inspecting the barrel for broken
filaments).
A.2.2 Equipment
A.2.2.1 Illumination meter.
A.2.2.2 Grading table (vehicle).
A.2.2.3 Weighing scales, electronic scales and other weighing instruments whose calibration
division value is less than or equal to 0.1% of the coil mass, and 20% ~ 80% of the maximum
weighing capacity can cover the coil mass.
A.3 Inspection Steps
A.3.1 Use the illumination meter to determine the illumination at the working point.
A.3.2 Rotate on the grading device for one turn to observe the two end faces and one column
surface of the barrel.
A.3.3 Inspect each coil in accordance with the items required in A.1.2.
a) Check for broken filaments. The broken filaments have plush filaments, or the broken
filament ends of monofilaments protrude from the surface of the multifilament and
can be seen when facing the light. Calculate and record the number of filaments.
b) Check the filaments for ossified filaments and tight specks.
c) Check for oil stains by oil filaments, rusty filaments and stains that are difficult to
clean with water under visual inspection, calculated by area, and record it.
d) Over-thrown yarns are based on the number and length of filaments at both ends of
the barrel that deviate from the normal winding trajectory. Start from the length 2
cm, calculate the number and record it.
e) Weigh the mass of the coil, deduct the known tare mass, and the net mass is the barrel
weight, accurate to 0.5%.
f) The color difference inspection is based on the color difference within the coil and
between coils, then, compared with the grey scale for determination, and record it.
g) Check the coil formation to see if the barrel without coil package is too hard or too
soft, uneven on three sides, or improperly positioned.
A.3.4 Record the results.
A.4 Comprehensive Grading
