NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA P GB 50033-2013 Standard for Daylighting Design of Buildings Issued on: DECEMBER 25, 2012 Implemented on: MAY 1, 2013 Jointly issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MHURD) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of the People's Republic of China GB IForeword According to the requirements of Documents Jian Biao [2009] No.88 issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development - "Notice on Printing and Publishing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2009", this Standard was revised from the former standard of "Standard for Daylighting Design of Buildings" by China Institute of Building Standard Design & Research jointly with all the organizations concerned. During the process of developing this Standard, the development team examined and finalized it based on extensively soliciting for opinions by investigation and study, simulating calculation, experimental verification, earnestly summarizing the practical experiences and making reference to the relevant international standards and foreign advanced standards. This standard comprises seven chapters and five appendices and the main technical content includes general principles, terms and symbols, basic requirements, standard value for daylight, daylighting quality, daylighting calculation and daylighting energy efficiency. The main technical contents of this revision are. 1. The minimum daylighting factor side daylighting evaluation index was changed to average daylighting coefficient; critical illumination value of indoors natural light was changed to design illuminance value of indoor natural light. 2. The application scope the Standard was expanded, and the standard value for daylighting of exhibition building, traffic building and sports building were added. 3. Calculation method corresponding to average daylighting factorwas given. 4. The chapter "daylighting energy efficiency" was newly-added and the calculation method of daylighting energy efficiency was specified. The provisions printed in bold type in this Standard are compulsory and must be enforced strictly. Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is in charge of the administration of this standard and the explanation of the compulsory provisions. China Academy of Building Research is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents.
