1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions of personal protection for fire scene investigation in the field of forensic science, the overall requirements for personal protection, personal
Specific protection requirements, selection and use requirements of personal protective equipment, etc.
This document applies to personal protection against common hazards during on-site investigation of fire-related cases in the field of forensic science, and other fire-related on-site investigations.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Hazardous factor
Sudden risk factors and chronic harmful factors that may cause injury or illness to on-site investigators of fire-related cases.

Personal protective equipmentpersonal protection equipment
Various personal protective items provided to effectively prevent and defend against hazardous factors at the scene of fire-related cases.

4 General requirements for personal protection
4.1 On-site investigators should take personal protective measures before entering the scene of a fire incident.
4.2 Personal protective equipment should be appropriate to the on-site environmental conditions, exploration requirements, existing hazards and the degree of hazard.
4.3 Personal protective equipment should provide effective protection while taking into account comfort and convenience.
4.4 During the on-site investigation, the on-site investigators found that the personal protective equipment had become ineffective or there were other hazardous factors.
When the equipment cannot meet the safety requirements of the survey, appropriate measures should be taken to reduce or eliminate the hazardous factors, or appropriate personal protective equipment should be equipped.
4.5 When conducting on-site inspections in severe weather conditions such as high temperature/low temperature, the personal protective equipment used should have functions such as ventilation and heat dissipation/warmth retention.
4.6 When conducting field surveys under poor lighting conditions, field survey personnel should be equipped with appropriate reflective and luminous signs and personal lighting equipment.
4.7 When conducting field surveys under poor ventilation conditions, on-site surveyors should take ventilation measures and, if necessary, be equipped with appropriate
Air/oxygen breathing apparatus.
4.8 If there are special hazards such as radioactive hazards and biological hazards on site, they should be handled by professional institutions and can only be handled after the hazards are eliminated.
