Foreword

GB/T 3682 "Determination of Melt Mass Flow Rate (MFR) and Melt Volume Flow Rate (MVR) of Plastic Thermoplastics" by The following two parts are composed. --- Part 1. Standard methods; --- Part 2. Test methods for time-temperature history and/or humidity sensitive materials. This part is Part 1 of GB/T 3682. This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Part replaces GB/T 3682-2000 Determination of Mass Flow Rate and Melt Volume Flow Rate of Thermoplastic Melts, and Compared with GB/T 3682-2000, the main technical changes except editorial modification are as follows. --- Added a chapter on terms and definitions (Chapter 3), including the following terms and definitions. Melt mass flow rate (3.1), Melt volume flow Dynamic speed (3.2), load (3.3), preloaded specimen (3.4), time-temperature history (3.5), standard die (3.6), half die (3.7), Humidity-sensitive plastic (3.8); --- Modify the requirements of the piston (5.1.3), increased the requirements of the lower edge of the piston head (5.1.3); --- Modify the temperature tolerance (5.1.4); --- Increased the preforming device (5.2.1.7); --- Corrected the accuracy requirement for the cut-off time (5.2.2.2); --- Modify the cut-off interval (8.3); --- Increased expression of MFR results (8.5.3) and expression of MVR results (9.6.3) when using the half-mouth model test; --- Increased minimum piston displacement requirements (9.3); --- Modify the test conditions for the determination of MFR and MVR (Appendix A); --- Added information on the MFR and MVR test conditions specified in the relevant material standards (Appendix B); --- Increased the use of compaction method for the preforming of the device and steps (Appendix C); --- Added examples of precision data for polypropylene obtained from multiple laboratory tests MFR and MVR listed in international standards (attached Record D). This section uses the redrafted method to modify the ISO 1133-1.2011 "plastic thermoplastic melt flow rate (MFR) And Measurement of Melt Volume Flow Rate (MVR) Part 1. Standard Methods. The main technical differences between this part and ISO 1133-1.2011 and its reasons are as follows. --- With regard to normative references, this standard has made adjustments with technical differences to adapt to China's technical conditions and adjust the situation. The focus is reflected in Chapter 2, “Normative References,” and the specific adjustments are as follows. ● Replaced ISO 4287 with GB/T 3505-2009 equivalent to international standards; ● Replaced ISO 1133-2 with GB/T 3682.2-2018 modified to adopt international standards; ● Replaced ISO 6507-1 with GB/T 4340.1-2009 modified to adopt international standards. --- Increased precision of the test method (Chapter 11) to make the implementation of the standard more instructive. This section is consistent with the standard structure of ISO 1133-1.2011, and the following changes have been made in the editing. --- Numbered formulas; --- The contents of the selection test temperature and nominal load in the table of Appendix A are changed to the second paragraph of Appendix A; --- Appendix B lists the MFR and MVR test conditions and codes specified in the relevant standards for thermoplastics, and gives the use of Instructions. This part is proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. This part is under the jurisdiction of the General Methods and Products Section of the National Plastics Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC15/SC4). This section mainly drafted by. Introduction

This section is recommended for stable materials that are insensitive to time-temperature history in melt flow rate determination. Rheological behavior Materials that are sensitive to the test time-temperature history, such as materials that degrade during testing, are recommended to use in accordance with ISO /IEC 14598-2. Note. When GB/T 3682 parts are released, there is no evidence to show that using GB/T 3682.2 to test stability materials is more accurate than using this part of the test results. better. Plastic Thermoplastic Melt Mass Flow Rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate Determination of (MVR) Part 1. Standard Methods Warning - Persons using various parts of GB/T 3682 should have practical experience in regular laboratory work. Part of GB/T 3682 Points do not indicate all possible security issues. Users have the responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with relevant national laws Regulatory conditions.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 3682 specifies the determination of the mass flow rate of thermoplastic melts under specified temperature and load conditions. (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) methods. Method A is a mass measurement method, and method B is a displacement measurement method. usually, Thermoplastics Materials Standards This standard specifies the test conditions for determining the melt flow rate. Thermoplastics are listed in Appendix A Used test conditions. The melt volume flow rate is particularly suitable for the comparison of filled and unfilled thermoplastics, as well as for different fill levels of filler materials. Compare. If the melt density of the material at the test temperature is known, the MFR can be determined from the MVR measurement and vice versa. This section can also be used for thermoplastics whose rheological behavior is affected by hydrolysis (chain scission), polycondensation and cross-linking, but only if these effects and The repeatability and reproducibility of the test results apply only when they are within an acceptable range. This section does not apply to materials whose rheological behavior is significantly affected during the test. In these cases, GB/T 3682.2 can be used. Note. The shear rate in this section is much smaller than the shear rate used in the processing under normal conditions, so the various thermoplastic plastics obtained in this section Material data does not necessarily correlate with the performance exhibited during processing. The methods A and B specified in this part are mainly used for quality control.
