The narrowest constituent unit of symbol characters in one-dimensional barcodes and layered two-dimensional barcodes, or the smallest information-carrying unit in matrix two-dimensional barcodes.

The center of 3 dark color modules (3.1.1) × 3 dark color modules (3.1.1) in the position detection pattern of Hanxin code.
3.1.3
