In and out plant seed quarantine regulations1 ScopeThis standard specifies the quarantine methods and treatment principles for in and out plant seeds.
This standard applies to entry and exit quarantine of inbound and outbound plant seeds.2 Terms and definitionsThe following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1
Seeds for planting, not for consumption or processing.
2.2
The smallest unit package is larger than 0.5kg.
2.3
The minimum unit package is no more than 0.5kg.3 instruments and appliancesAnatomical mirrors, microscopes, centrifuges, and tweezers, hand-held magnifiers, finger tubes, flashlights, brushes, and sample bags.4 Quarantine basis4.1 China's entry and exit plant quarantine laws, regulations and related regulations.

5 on-site quarantine
5.1 Inspection
5.1.1 Check whether the variety, quantity, batch number, and taro mark of the inbound and outbound plant seeds are consistent with the declaration. Check the exterior of the package, the material of the bedding
And transportation tools such as soil, pests, fungus and weed seeds.
5.1.2 The quarantine of the in and out plant seeds is based on the batch number of the goods, and the batch number is not used.
5.1.3 For high-risk introductory plant seeds such as trees and grass seeds, and the total amount of no more than 10kg, all should be inspected.
5.1.4 For low-risk introductory plant seeds such as vegetables and crops, random sampling is carried out at 5% to 20% of the total amount.
5.1.5 For general packaging, the minimum inspection quantity is not less than 10, mainly checking whether there are soil, insects, disease, weed seeds and pests;
In small packages, only laboratory test samples are taken.
5.2 Sampling
Samples are taken by lot number or variety, and sampling documents are issued at the same time.
5.2.1 General packaging
The samples of the general packaged seeds are carried out in accordance with the requirements of Tables 1 and 2.
