1 Scope
This document defines the terms and definitions of protective pads, specifies the classification, requirements, marking and product instructions, and describes the test methods.
This document applies to the safety performance testing during the design, production and sales of protective mats used in ski resorts.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Protective pad protective pad
A cushion used to protect skiers and to wrap or isolate objects that pose a risk of collision during skiing.
Note. Protective pads generally consist of surface coverings (jackets), energy absorbing materials and connectors.
4 Categories
According to the use position or impact force, protective pads are divided into Class I and Class II.
---Type I protective pads are placed at locations with faster sliding speeds or greater impact forces, such as obstacles on ski slopes;
--- Type II protective pads are placed at locations where the sliding speed is slow or the impact force is small, such as the end of the stop zone.
5 Requirements
5.1 Basic requirements
5.1.1 The color of the protective mat should be a single color of blue, orange or red.
5.1.2 The surface of the protective pad should be flat, clean, and free of cracks or damage.
5.1.3 Suture stitches should be uniform and consistent, without missed stitches, skipped stitches or sharp corners.
5.1.4 During normal use, there should be no odor that can be detected by the senses.
5.2 Impact characteristics
