4 Principles

The sample is melted with a mixed flux of lithium tetraborate and lithium metaborate to prepare a glass sample: The glass sample is irradiated with primary X-rays to excite and produce X-ray fluorescence, the wavelength and intensity of X-ray fluorescence have a one-to-one correspondence with the chemical elements in the glass sample and their mass fraction: Pass By measuring the wavelength and intensity of the X-ray fluorescence excited by the glass sample and comparing it with the standard working curve obtained from the standard glass sample, we get to the mass fraction of chemical elements in the glass sample:

5 Reagents and instruments

5:1 Lithium tetraborate (Li2B4O7), superior grade pure, solid: 5:2 Lithium metaborate (LiBO2), superior grade pure, solid: 5:3 Mix the flux, lithium tetraborate: lithium metaborate = 67:33 or 66:34, weigh 335g or 330g lithium tetraborate (5:1) and 165g Or grind 170g lithium metaborate (5:2) in an agate mortar (5:9) and mix evenly, transfer to a porcelain evaporating dish (5:10) and place in a 700℃ muffle furnace (5:19) Medium burning for no less than 10 hours, or use a commercially available mixed flux: 5:4 Water, not less than the first-level water requirements in GB/T 6682: 5:5 Ammonium iodide, analytically pure, mass fraction not less than 99%:
