1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, markings and information provided by the manufacturer of heat-resistant gloves. This standard applies to protection against flame, heat of contact, heat of convection, heat of radiation, splashing of a small amount of molten metal, or splashing of a large amount of molten metal. Various forms of thermal injury gloves. This standard does not apply to gloves for fire protection and welding operations. Note. This standard test provides performance level rather than protection level.
