Foreword

GB/T 21196 "Textiles Martindale method - Determination of fabric abrasion resistance" is divided into four parts. --- Part 1. Martindale abrasion testing apparatus; --- Part 2. Determination of specimen breakdown; --- Part 3. Determination of mass loss; --- Part 4. Assessment of appearance change. This section GB/T Part of 121,196. The partial modification of the use of ISO 12947-1.1998 Determination of "textile fabric abrasion Martindale method Part 1. Martindale Wear tester. " The portion of ISO 12947-1.1998 is the main differences. 1. Some will apply international standards to apply to the description of the standard formulation. 2. The introduction of international standards in the form of injection into the range. 3. "Normative references" in international standards with the corresponding national standards in place. 4. Add "Coated Fabrics" in scope. 5. 3.3 delete the definition of "test interval." 6.6.1 The abrasive coated fabrics increased requirements. 7. Deletion of the 6.4 "Note. Supply suitable equipment and materials, contact the ISO /T C38 secretariat" 8. Equation (B.1) coefficients from "9.31" to "9.81." This part of the Appendix A and Appendix B are normative appendix. This part is proposed by the China Textile Industry Association. This part of the National Standardization Technical Committee on Basic Standards Subcommittee Textiles (SAC/TC209/SC1) centralized. This part of the Wenzhou-Textile Instruments Co., Ltd., Institute of Textile Industry Standardization responsible for drafting. The main drafters of this section. Haochang Zhen, Xu Road. 1 Scope

This section GB/T 21196 specifies the requirements for Martindale tester and auxiliary materials used in accordance with GB/T 21196 Part 2 Test methods specified in Part 4 Determination of fabric to wear characteristics. This section applies to the following test fabric instruments. a) woven and knitted fabrics; b) villus height 2mm or less pile fabric; c) non-woven fabric; d) coated fabrics. the woven fabric, knitted fabric to fabric, and formed part of a continuous film coating on the fabric surface. Note. Since there is no comparability between results of different methods, so before the start of the test on the wear test method selected, and recorded in the test report. Use horse Ding Lauderdale measured fabric pilling properties see ISO 12945-2 "Textiles surface of the fabric pilling ball measured performance - Part 2. modification of the horse Ding Lauderdale law. "
