1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for permanently installed cooking stoves and other equipment using liquid fuel at atmospheric pressure on small craft not exceeding 24 m in length.
Design, construction and installation of heating appliances, including open-fire cooktops, ceramic hobs, air heaters and water heaters.
This document does not apply to cooking and heating appliances specifically designed or intended for use as portable, self-contained camp stoves or heaters.
Cooking and heating appliances for permanent installations (such as naturally ventilated stoves burning solid and liquid fuels) are outside the scope of this document and are covered by ISO 9094.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

galley stove
An appliance used for cooking by burning liquid fuel using a burner, oven, broiler, or any combination of these devices.
3.2
heating appliance
An appliance that heats air, water or solid media by burning liquid fuel.
3.3
liquid fuel
A fuel that is liquid at atmospheric pressure.
Examples. kerosene and diesel.
3.4
readily accessible
The boat can be used, inspected and maintained without removing any hull structure or using any tools.

habitable space
Surrounded by a permanent enclosure, it provides space for activities such as sleeping, cooking, dining, washing/toilet, navigation, and driving.
