This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 18674-2002 "General technical conditions for fishing ropes". This standard is compared with GB/T 18674-2002 except
In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Increased use of polypropylene ropes for fishing, high-strength polypropylene multifilament ropes, polyester ropes and UHMW-PE ropes (Chapter 1,
5.2.3, 5.2.4, 5.2.6, 5.2.7);
--- Replaced the original standard manufacturing and twist factor requirements with general requirements, and replaced the manufacturing and twist coefficient with GB/T 21328

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels, packaging, and transportation of fishing ropes.
Loss and storage.
This standard applies to the following fishing ropes.
--- Three polyamide strands with a nominal diameter of 4 mm to 72 mm and four polyamides with a nominal diameter of 10 mm to 72 mm
Eight strands and twelve strands of polyamide braid rope with nominal diameter 12mm~72mm;
--- Three strands of polyethylene strands with a nominal diameter of 4 mm to 72 mm, and four strands of polyethylene with a nominal diameter of 10 mm to 72 mm
Reins
--- Three strands polypropylene reins with a nominal diameter of 4mm~72mm, and four strands of polypropylene with a nominal diameter of 10mm~72mm.
