This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2009 edition);
b) The definition of buffer has been changed (see 3.1, 3.1 of the.2009 edition);
c) The definition of the length between endpoints has been changed (see 3.2, 3.4 of the.2009 edition);
d) The definition of permanent deformation has been changed (see 3.3, 3.2 of the.2009 edition);
e) The terms and definitions of free fall distance were deleted (see 3.5 of the.2009 edition);

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, permanent marking and information to be provided by the manufacturer for the buffers and describes the corresponding tests
method.
This document applies to buffers used for working at heights.
This document does not apply to buffers used in sports, firefighting, etc.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 12903, GB 6095-2021 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Buffer energy absorber
A component connected in series between the lanyard and the hanging point to absorb impact energy in the event of a fall.
3.2
Pincentrelength
The straight-line distance between the force-bearing points at both ends of the buffer (3.1).
