This revised standard adopts ISO 4731.2006 "geranium oil." This standard and ISO 4731. compared to 2006, the main technical differences are as follows.
--- Remove the ISO 4731.2006 method of sampling;
--- Test Methods of relevant national standards, see Chapter 2;
--- Added "Ester Value", "carbonyl value";
--- The ISO 4731.2006 4.9 content as Appendix B;
--- Increased "inspection rules";
--- For signs, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of the contents of specific provisions.
This standard replaces GB 11959-1989 "Food Additives geranium oil."
This standard compared with GB/T 11959-1989 main changes are as follows.
--- Increased Chapter 3 Terms and definitions;
--- GB 11959-1989 specified relative density (20 ℃/20 ℃) is 0.882 ~ 0.889, 0.882 ~ 0.899 of the standard;
--- GB 11959-1989 specified refractive index (20 ℃) is 1.4615 ~ 1.4690, this standard is 1.4600 ~ 1.4720;
--- GB 11959-1989 prescribed acid value ≤8.0, this standard is the acid value ≤10.0;
--- Remove the "ester value after acetylation," adds "citronellol", "geraniol" content;
--- Increased in Appendices A and B.
This standard Annex A, Annex B is informative appendix.
