Test and evaluation method for waterproof and sealing performance of automobile fastening points 1 Scope This standard specifies the waterproof sealing performance level, test methods, evaluation of test results and special requirements. This standard is applicable to the general waterproof sealing performance test and evaluation of automobile fastening points. This standard does not apply to air tightness testing. 2 Normative references The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. Please refer to Chapter 7. 4.2 FS Waterproof Sealing Grade Description See Table 1 for the description of FS waterproof sealing grade and corresponding test method. 5 Waterproof sealing test method 5.1 General requirements of the test environment Unless there are other definitions in the corresponding product drawings, the recommended test environment is as follows. --Ambient temperature. 15 oC~35 oC; --Relative humidity. 25% RH~75% RH; --Atmospheric pressure. 86 kPa~106 kPa; --Test water. meet GB/T 6682 grade three water or above; --Test water temperature. If there is no special requirement, the water temperature range is 15 oC~35 oC. 5.2 Sample preparation for fastening spot According to the connection method required by the actual component design, all the fastened components and fasteners are assembled and connected to form a fastening point. The assembled fastening point is fixed to the bottom of a container with an open bottom, and the bottom of the container can be used to hold water and measure the water surface height after being closed. The dry side of the fastening point is downward, and the surroundings of the fastening point and the bottom surface of the container are sealed with waterproof tape or other sealing methods. You can place a water-changing test paper on the dry side of the fastening point to help evaluate the results after the test. 5.3 Test method of oscillating tube The test method of the oscillating tube is as follows. a) Use the oscillating tube test device shown in Appendix A. The oscillating tube is provided with spray holes at 60 degrees on both sides of the midpoint, and the support is not drilled; b) The square box with fastening points for sample preparation is placed at the center of the semicircle and firmly fixed, with the top surface of the opening facing up. The distance between the fastening point and the water surface and the holding time are according to customer requirements. 6 Evaluation of test results Immediately after the end of the test, remove the fastening point and observe whether there is any trace of water leakage on the dry surface. If no trace of water leakage is observed, the test is determined Pass, otherwise the test fails. 7 Special requirements According to the requirements of the buyer and after negotiation between the supplier and the buyer, the following special requirements can be added. a) For FS3 level, specify the depth of the fastening point from the water surface and the immersion retention time; b) For the fastening points, the fasteners are required to be assembled for multiple times before the waterproof test is carried out. The number of assembly times is defined by the supplier and the buyer through negotiation; c) For the fastening point, it is required to undergo a temperature cycle before performing a waterproof test. The specific temperature cycle requirements are defined by the supplier and the buyer through consultation; d) Other special requirements. 8 Test report The test report shall record the following contents, and other unlisted contents can also be added to the test report after negotiation between the supplier and the buyer. --Sample name and number; --Test photos before and after the experiment; -Explain that the test is carried out according to this standard; -Test date; --Waterproof sealing grade and test method used; --Water temperature and sealing method; --The depth and holding time under the water surface (if the immersion test method is selected); - Test result. passed or failed; --Whether the discoloration test paper is discolored in water (if used); - Abnormal conditions in the test. ......
