1 Scope
This Standard specifies the visual colorimetric method for the measurement of melt
colour of pure adipic acid.
This Standard is applicable to the measurement of melt colour of pure adipic acid.

3 Method summary
HEAT the sample to 250 °C and the colour of the sample is obtained by visually
comparing the sample with the platinum-cobalt standard solution in the molten state.

platinum-cobalt colour, prepared according to the specifications of GB/T 605.
