The conductivity of water is corrected by the coefficient Kγ.5 Test Equipment5.1 Rail Two short rails with a length of about 0.5 m have the same cross-section as the rails used for assembling the tested fasteners. There should be no floating rust on the surface of the rail. 5.2 Water The test water was potable water of known conductivity (range 20 mS/m ~ 80 mS/m). 5.3 Spraying device As shown in Figure 1, a shelf that can move parallel to the rail is equipped with four nozzles with a diameter of 3.6 mm and a spray taper of 100°~125°. It shall also be equipped with equipment capable of controlling and measuring the nozzle flow. 5.4 Power supply The alternating current with voltage of 30V±3V, and frequency of 50Hz±15Hz. 5.5 Testing instrument The testing instrument shall be able to measure the voltage and current between the two rails with a measurement accuracy of 1%; and can calculate the electric resistance of 1 × 102 Ω ~ 1 × 106 Ω.
