Example: Q400GMDR. Where: Q – the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word “Qu” for yield strength; GM – the first letters of the Chinese pinyin of the characters “Gao” and “Meng” for “high manganese”; DR – the first letters of the Chinese pinyin of the characters “Di” and “Rong” for “low temperature vessel”; 400 – the specified minimum yield strength, in megapascals (MPa), which is the specified plastic elongation strength Rp0.2.5 Order contentThe order content of steel plates shall comply with the regulations of GB/T 713.1.6 Size, shape, weightThe size, shape, and weight of steel plates shall comply with the regulations of GB/T 713.1.7 Technical requirements7.1 Designation and chemical composition 7.1.1 The steel designation and chemical composition (melting analysis) shall comply with the requirements of Table 1. 7.1.2 To improve the properties of steels, other alloying elements than those in Table 1 can be added, such as Ni, Mo, Nb, V, Ti, Al, etc., where Ni≤1.0%, Mo≤0.30%, Nb+V+Ti ≤0.30%, Alt≤0.10%; the corresponding element content shall be indicated in the quality certificate. When Ni ≥ 0.30%, Cu can be lower than 0.30%. 7.1.3 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of finished steel plates shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 713.1. 7.2 Manufacturing method The manufacturing method of steel plates shall comply with the regulations of GB/T 713.1. 7.3 Delivery state Steel plates shall be delivered in a thermomechanical processed state. 7.4 Mechanical properties and technological properties 7.4.1 The general requirements for mechanical properties and technological properties of steel plates shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 713.1. 7.4.2 The mechanical properties and technological properties of steel plates shall comply with the requirements in Table 2. 7.4.3 As negotiated between the supply and demand parties, a set of impact samples can be added at 1/2 of the thickness for steel plates with a thickness greater than 36 mm. The Charpy (V-notch) impact absorption energy shall be determined by negotiation between the supply and demand parties. ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al. |
