This document replaces GB/T 4008-2008 Ferromanganese-silicon. Compared with GB/T 4008-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes of this document are as follows. a) Adjust into three categories. micro-carbon ferromanganese-silicon, low- carbon ferromanganese-silicon and straight-carbon ferromanganese-silicon according to the different carbon content of ferromanganese-silicon (see Chapter 4); b) Modify the designation method of ferromanganese-silicon to the lower mass fraction of manganese content and silicon content (see Chapter 4; 3.1.1 of the 2008 edition); c) Adjust the number of designations of ferromanganese-silicon from 8 to 13 (see 5.1.1; 3.1.1 of the 2008 edition); d) Adjust the requirements for carbon and phosphorus content of ferromanganese-silicon (see Table 1; Table 1 of the 2008 edition); e) Modify the requirements for particle size (see 5.2.1; 3.2.1 of the 2008 edition); f) Add "Determination and re-inspection" (see Chapter 8); g) Add the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (see Appendix C). This document adopts ISO 5447.1980 Ferrosilicomanganese - Specification and conditions of delivery by modification. Compared with ISO 5447.1980, this document has lots of adjustments in structure. See Appendix A for a list of structure number changes between the two documents. This document contains many technical differences compared to ISO 5447.1980, which are indicated by a single vertical line (|) in the outer margin of the clauses involved. Ferromanganese-silicon1 ScopeThis document specifies the classification, designation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage, transportation and storage, marking and quality certificate of ferromanganese-silicon.
