1 Scope

This Standard specifies the specification dimensions of single-cell, module and standard case of traction battery for electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as battery). This Standard is applicable to the lithium-ion battery and metal hydride nickel battery mounted on the electric vehicles; other type of batteries can be implemented as per this Standard.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions and those ones stipulated in GB/T 2900.41 and GB/T 19596 are applicable to this document. 3.1 Cylindrical cell The battery with cylindrical battery hull and connecting element (electrode). 3.2 Prismatic cell The battery wit rectangular battery hull and connecting element (electrode). 3.3 Pouch cell The battery with composite file make of battery hull and connecting element (electrode). 3.4 Secondary cell The basic unit device converting the chemical energy into electrical energy; generally, it includes electrodes, diaphragms, electrolytes, hulls, terminals; and is designed to be rechargeable. Also known as battery core.
