This Document applies to the seat belt reminder for the driver's seat position and the passenger seat position in the same row with the driver's seat of the Categories M and N vehicles; and the seat belt reminder for the rear passenger seat position of the Categories M1 and N1 vehicles; the seat belt reminder for other seat positions can be implemented by reference.2 Normative ReferencesThe provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Document through reference in this Document. GB 4094-2016 Motor Vehicles - Symbols for Controls, Indicators and Tell-Tales3 Terms and DefinitionsFor the purposes of this Document, the following terms and definitions apply. 3.1 First level warning A visual warning that is activated when the ignition switch or master switch is turned on (vehicle drive running or not), in the "ON" or "READY" state (or equivalent), and any passenger in the vehicle is not wearing a seat belt. 3.2 Second level warning Visual and audible warnings that are activated when the vehicle is moving and any passengers in the vehicle are not wearing or opening their seat belts. 3.3 Safety-belt reminder The system that warns the driver when any passenger in the vehicle is not wearing a seat belt, consisting of a detection device for not wearing a seat belt and two-level warnings (first level warning and second level warning). 3.4 Visual warning Warnings of visual signals (indicators, flashing lights, visual symbols, messages). 3.7 Vehicle in normal operation The forward speed of the vehicle is greater than 10km/h. 3.8 Passenger detection device The device that consists of a detection unit and a connecting wire harness (or communication system), and is used to detect the occupancy of the seat. 3.9 Interval time The time between two adjacent beats in an audible warning signal (shown in Figure 1). 3.10 Intermittent time The time between two adjacent cue notes within each beat in the audible warning signal (as Single beat Single beat4 Technical Requirements4.1 General requirements 4.2 Test Requirements 4.2.1 Visual warning 4.2.2 Audible warning 4.2.2.1 The audible warning signal shall be a constant sound or intermittent (with intermittent time no greater than 1s) sound signal, or continuous language warning information.
