Start the test (it needs removing the exposed bamboo part from the bamboo incense). Use an analytical balance to weigh the filter paper, as m1 (accurate to 0.1 mg). Fix it on the sampling head. The sampling head is installed at the center of the upper cover of the smoke collection tube. Cut 0.6 g from the sample to be tested, accurate to 0.1 mg. Weigh its mass m, as the sample to be tested. It can be cut into multiple segments as needed, BUT it must be ignited at the same time. Adjust the sampling gas flowmeter to 5 L/min. Ignite the sample to be tested. Immediately put it in the smoke collection tube. Place it at the center of the bottom of the tube. Align it with the sampling head. The distance between the sampling filter paper and the sample to be tested is 10 cm. After the test sample is burned out, remove the filter paper. Put it in the drier. After 1 h, use an analytical balance to weigh its mass, as m2 (accurate to 0.1 mg). Record the time from ignition to burnout, as t. A.4.2 Blank test Take a piece of filter paper. Use an analytical balance, to weigh its mass, as m3 (accurate to 0.1 mg). Fix the filter paper on the sampling head. Install the sampling head, at the center of the upper cover of the smoke collection tube. Adjust the flowmeter to 5 L/min; the collection time is t (A.4.1). After collection, remove the filter paper. Put it in a drier. After 1 hour, use an analytical balance to weigh its mass, as m4 (accurate to 0.1 mg). A.5 Calculation The amount of soot of the tested sample is calculated, according to formula (A.1). Where. X - The amount of soot, in milligrams per gram (mg/g); m1 - The mass of the filter paper, before sampling, for the sample test, in grams (g); ......Source: Above contents are excerpted from the full-copy PDF -- translated/reviewed by: www.ChineseStandard.net / Wayne Zheng et al. |
