1 Theme Content and Scope
This Standard specifies the basic requirements for the packaging of automobile safety glass
products.
This Standard applies to the packaging of automobile safety glass (hereinafter referred to as
safety glass) and also to the packaging of safety glass for other road vehicles.

3 Technical Requirements for Packaging
3.1 Preparation of product packaging
3.1.1 Product
Products can only be packaged after being inspected and found to meet the requirements of GB
9656.
3.1.2 Packaging materials
3.1.2.1 The materials used for packaging boxes shall be strong enough and not easily damaged;
and ensure that the product quality shall not be affected during normal transportation and
storage.
3.1.2.2 Each piece of glass shall be packed in a plastic bag or other measures shall be taken
between each piece of glass to prevent scratches on the glass surface.
3.1.2.3 The space between the glass and the inner surface of the packaging box shall be filled
with light and soft materials or fastening devices shall be used.
3.1.3 Packaging containers
Safety glass is packaged in box, which is generally in the shape of a right-angled parallelepiped.
Only glass of the same type and specification is allowed to be packed in a packaging box of
one specification. The size of the box shall be determined according to the size of the glass area;
and the shape and structure shall be convenient for transportation, loading and unloading.
3.2 Product packaging
3.2.1 Packaging requirements
3.2.1.1 Packaging measurement value
When safety glass is packaged in containers, the packaging measurement value shall be based
on the principle that the glass is not easily broken and convenient for transportation.
When other packaging boxes are used for packaging, the total weight shall generally not exceed
500 kg.
3.2.1.2 Packaging method
Safety glass shall be placed vertically in the packaging box, with each piece of glass close
together; if spaced packaging is used, each piece of glass shall be separated by light and soft
materials.
3.2.1.3 Packaging protection
There shall be protective measures such as padding, supports or buffer devices in the packaging
box to ensure that the glass is not damaged under normal transportation conditions.
3.2.1.4 Accompanying documents
3.2.1.4.1 Packing list. Indicate the product quantity and packing date.
3.2.1.4.2 Inspection certificate stamped by the factory inspection department, indicating.
a. The manufacturer's name or registered trademark;
b. Product name, type, model, specification, grade, production batch number;
c. The code of the inspector and packer.
3.2.1.5 Sealing
According to the size of the box, use appropriate methods to seal the box. After sealing, the
glasses inside the box shall not be loose.
3.2.2 Packaging marks
The outer surface of the product packaging box shall have eye-catching and indelible marks.
a. The manufacturer's name or registered trademark;
b. Product type, specification, quantity, grade;
c. Receiving organization and address;
d. Shipping organization and address;
e. There shall be "Upward, glass products, handle with care, no moisture" and other words
and vertical placement marks, and shall comply with the provisions of GB 191;
f. Exit-factory date.
4 Transportation of Package
4.1 Transportation mode
Railway, highway, water, air and other modes can be used.
4.2 Attention shall be paid during loading, unloading and transportation.
a. Rainproof facilities shall be provided;
b. When placing the packages, they shall be placed strictly according to the "upward" mark
on the box; and shall not be placed flat or tilted;
c. During transportation, the placement of the packages shall make the length direction of
the glass the same as the driving direction of the vehicle; the boxes shall be close together,
and measures should be taken to prevent tipping;
d. The stacking of packages shall follow the principle of heavy not pressing light, large not
pressing small, and the stacking height is generally no more than 3 layers;
e. Goods shall be taken care of during loading and unloading, and loading and unloading
shall be carried out in accordance with regulations.
5 Storage of Package
5.1 Place the package according to the "upward" mark on the box.
5.2 The package box shall be stored in a dry room or shed, and the bottom of the box shall be
raised.
