Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 4223-2004 "scrap steel." Compared with GB/T 4223-2004, the main technical content changes as follows.
--- The original standard of "high quality scrap iron" and "ordinary scrap iron" be amended to "Class I scrap iron" and "Class II scrap iron" (see 4.1.1,.2004 edition
4.1.1);
--- Increased the classification of scrap iron smelting, increased from 4 categories of the original standard to 5 types of scrap iron (see 4.1.2.1,.2004 edition 4.1.2.1);
--- Increased the classification of scrap smelting, increased from the original standard of 5 categories for the eight types of scrap (see 4.2.3.1,.2004 edition of 4.2.3.1);
--- Modify the smelting scrap dimensions and weight requirements, to further clarify the definition of a typical example (see 4.2.3.1.1,2004
Version 4.2.3.1.1);
--- Added "package (briquetting) unpacking test" method (see 6.2.8);
--- Increase the "crushing pile weight test method" (see 6.2.9);
