Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 415).

General Requirements and Labeling for Recycled and
Remanufactured Products
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the general requirements and labeling for recycled products (also
known as regenerated products) and remanufactured products (also known as remanufactured
goods).
This Standard applies to the manufacture and trade of recycled and remanufactured products,
but not to remanufactured automobiles and their components and parts.
2 Normative References
The following documents are indispensable to the application of this document. In terms of
references with a specified date, only versions with a specified date are applicable to this
document. In terms of references without a specified date, the latest version (including all the
modifications) is applicable to this document.

3 Definitions
What is defined in GB/T 20861 and GB/T 23685, and the following terms and definitions are
applicable to this document.
3.1 Remanufacturing
Remanufacturing refers to the manufacturing process of professionally repairing or upgrading
and rebuilding waste products, so that their technical performance reaches or exceeds the level
of new prototypes.
3.2 Remanufactured Products
Remanufactured products refer to products that are remanufactured from waste equipment or
components and parts and comply with the requirements of relevant standards.
4 General Requirements
4.1 General Requirements for Recycled Products
4.1.1 The amount of recycled material used in recycled products shall not be lower than 50%
(by mass).
4.1.2 The recycled products shall comply with the existing technical requirements for recycled
products or adopt the corresponding new product inspection methods for inspection. They shall
comply with the requirements of relevant standards from the perspectives of the safety,
performance and environmental protection of new products.
NOTE: please refer to Table A.1 of Appendix A for relevant standards on the technical requirements
for some recycled products.
4.2 General Requirements for Remanufactured Products
In accordance with the inspection methods of corresponding new products, the various
indicators of the remanufactured products, such as: quality, safety, performance and
environmental protection, shall not be lower than the requirements of the relevant standards of
prototype products.
NOTE: please refer to Table A.2 of Appendix A for relevant standards on the technical requirements
for some remanufactured products.
