Nickel and nickel alloy strip and foil
1 Scope
This Standard specifies classification and marking, technical requirements,
inspection methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging, transportation,
storage and quality certificate as well as order sheet (contract) for nickel and
nickel alloy strip and foil.
This Standard is applicable to nickel and nickel alloy strip and foil used in
industrial fields such as instrumentation, communication and electronics.

4.4.2 Bending test
It may conduct bending test for the product. There shall be no cracks on the
outer surface of the strip after bending. The diameter of the bending indenter
and the bending angle are negotiated by the supplier and the purchaser.
4.5 Grain size
It may conduct grain size testing for the product. Test results are reported as
measured values.
4.6 Surface quality
The surface of the product shall be smooth and clean, without defects that affect
the use.
5 Test methods
5.1 Chemical composition
The chemical composition analysis method of the product is carried out in
accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8647 and YS/T 325.
5.2 Dimensions and allowable deviation
The dimensions of the product and its allowable deviation are measured with
corresponding precision measuring tools. The thickness is measured at a
distance not less than 100mm from the end and not less than 5mm from the
edge (products with a width less than 50mm are measured at a distance not
less than 3mm from the edge).
5.3 Mechanical properties
5.3.1 The tensile test of the product is carried out in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 228.1-2010. Choose P04 sample or P5 sample.
5.3.2 The Vickers hardness test of the product is carried out in accordance with
the provisions of GB/T 4340.1.
5.4 Technique performance
5.4.1 The cupping test of the product is carried out in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 4156. The punch diameter is 20mm.
5.4.2 The bending test of the product is carried out in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 232.
the sample is still nonconforming after repeated inspection, the batch of
products shall be rejected. The supplier is allowed to inspect the nonconforming
items on a coil-by- coil basis. Only conforming products are delivered.
6.5.4 When the dimensions, allowable deviations and the surface quality
inspection results are nonconforming, this coil of products shall be rejected.
7 Marks, packaging, transportation, storage and quality
certificate
7.1 Product marks
The following marks (or labels) shall be made on the products that have passed
the inspection:
a) Supplier's name or code;
b) Product designation, specification and state;
c) Product batch number;
d) Reference to this Standard.
7.2 Packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate
The packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate of the product
shall meet the requirements of GB/T 8888.
8 Order sheet (or contract)
The order sheet (or contract) for the products listed in this Standard shall
include the following:
a) Product name;
b) Designation, specification and state;
c) Dimensional accuracy;
d) Bending test (when required);
e) Grain size (when required);
f) Weight or number of pieces;
