1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, geometric
shapes, installation positions, dimensions, materials and their fixation methods of
safety signs and information symbols for the use of bus.
This Standard applies to the bus of categories M2 and M3.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, those defined in GB 13094 and the following terms
and definitions apply.

graphical symbol
visually-perceived symbol which gives a special message and is used to deliver
information

information symbol
prohibition sign
safety sign that indicates that a specific behaviour is forbidden
NOTE. It is a modification of Definition 3.3 of GB 2864-2008.

mandatory action sign
safety sign that compels people to take some action or take preventive measures
NOTE. It is a modification of Definition 3.5 of GB 2864-2008.

warning sign
safety sign that draws the attention of people to the surroundings in order to prevent
potential harm
NOTE. It is a modification of Definition 3.4 of GB 2864-2008.

safety condition sign
safety sign that indicates an evacuation route, the location of safety equipment or a
safety facility, or a safety action

safety sign that indicates the location or identification of fire equipment

4 General Requirements
4.1 General requirements for safety signs
4.1.1 The colours and colorimetric properties of safety signs shall be as specified in
GB/T 2893.4. The safety colours of mandatory action signs, warning signs, safety
condition signs, fire equipment signs shall cover at least 50% of the total area of safety
signs.
