Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces SN/T 1944-2007 "Determination of Bacterial Resistance in Animals and Their Products by Disc Diffusion Method", and SN/T 1944-
Compared with.2007, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Detection method and appendix section refer to the American Institute of Clinical and Laboratory Standards CLSIM100-S24 (2014)
Sensitivity test implementation standards, CLSIM02-A11 (2012) "Antimicrobial susceptibility test disc diffusion method operating standards" and
CLSIM31-A3 (2008) "Executive standard for susceptibility testing of animal-derived bacterial antibiotics".
--- Normative references to replace SN 0170 with GB 4789.4.
--- The principle of the method and laboratory self-made antibacterial drug sheet method were deleted.
--- Addition of animal-specific routine reporting trials to the Antimicrobial Proposal Subgroup to be considered in Appendix D Drug resistance test report

Determination of bacterial resistance in animals and their products
Disc diffusion method
1 Scope
This standard specifies paper diffusion detection methods for bacterial resistance in animals and their products.
This standard applies to the detection of drug resistance of Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus isolated from animals and their products.
The determination of drug resistance of his animal-derived bacteria can be referred to the implementation of this method.

3 Definitions and Terms
3.1
Bacterial resistance antimicrobialresistance
After repeated contact with bacteria and antibacterial drugs, the sensitivity to drugs gradually weakened, and even resisted without being inhibited and killed, the bacteria
This type of property is called drug resistance. It is usually measured by Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST).
The results can be expressed as sensitive (S), intermediate (I), and resistant (R).
3.2
Sensitive susceptible(S)
With conventional dosages, bacterial growth is inhibited by the level of antimicrobial drug attainable.
3.3
Intermediaries intermediate(I)
Conventional doses of antibacterial drugs are less effective against bacteria than susceptible strains, drugs are effective at physiological concentrations or can be used above normal agents
Measured for treatment.
3.4
Resistant resistant(R)
Bacteria cannot be inhibited by the concentration achieved with conventional doses of antimicrobials, and/or prove that the diameter of the inhibitory ring falls in certain bacteria
Within the scope of the drug mechanism.
3.5
Disc diffusion method diskdiffusiontesting
A qualitative drug sensitivity test method. A piece of paper containing a certain amount of an antibacterial drug is applied to a lot of bacteria that have been inoculated with a certain amount of test bacteria.
On the lipid plate, after incubation, a ring of inhibitory bacteria may be present around the disk to determine the sensitivity of the bacteria to the drug by measuring its size.
We call Kindy-Bauer (KB) method.
