1 Scope

This standard specifies inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (hereinafter referred to as ICP-AES) for the determination of silicon (Si) and iron in manganese metal. 3 Method summary

Accurately weigh 5.0000g of pure manganese (4.3) in a 250mL beaker, add the nitric acid-sulfuric acid mixed solution (4.2), and heat until dissolved. The solution was completely cooled, transferred to a 100 mL volumetric flask, and brought to volume. 4.4.5 Standard series solution. Divide 4.00 mL of manganese standard solution (4.4.4) into 7 50 mL volumetric flasks, and add iron standard solution (4.4.1) according to Table 1, respectively.
