Taking into account the usage habits of manufacturers and users of cold-rolled products, steel strips are referred to as steel coils below.2 Normative ReferencesThe following documents are essential to the application of this Standard. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this Standard; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this Standard. GB/T 18253 Steel and Steel Products – Types of Inspection Documents3 General Requirements3.1 The steel sheets and steel coils shall be packed neatly and bundled firmly. The handwriting of the marking shall be clear and pasted firmly. The packaging shall ensure that the products are not loose, damp, deformed or damaged during normal transportation and storage. NOTE 1.It is generally believed that product packaging does not reduce the risk of oxidation on the surface of the product. The main reason is that the current product packaging cannot be 100% airtight and watertight, so 100% surface oxidation resistance of the product cannot be guaranteed. NOTE 2.The prerequisites for packaging to provide sufficient surface protection for the product are as follows. ①In the logistics process, all parties shall handle, transport and store the product in accordance with the requirements of the specification; ②The product is put into use within the time specified in the standard. NOTE 2.There are four types of inspection documents in GB/T 18253-2018, namely "2.1", "2.2", "3.1" and "3.2", among which "2.1" and "2.2" are the inspection document types based on non- specified inspections; "3.1" and "3.2" are inspection document types based on specified inspections.
