Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard was proposed by the Tianjin Seawater Desalination and Comprehensive Utilization Research Institute of the State Oceanic Administration. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Marine Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC283). This standard was drafted. 1 Scope

This standard specifies the volumetric method for the determination of bromide ions in seawater, concentrated seawater and brine, as well as reagents, instruments, measurement methods, calculation of results and precision. density. This standard applies to volumetric determination of water samples with bromide ion content less than 6000mg/L. The detection limit of this standard is 0.57mg/L, and the lower limit of quantification is 2.28mg/L.

3 Principle

In a water sample with a pH greater than or equal to 5.5 and less than or equal to 7.0, sodium hypochlorite quantitatively oxidizes bromide ions to bromate ions. The acid radical oxidation iodide ion is the elemental iodine, and the elemental iodine is titrated with the sodium thiosulfate standard titration solution to determine the amount of the elemental iodine to obtain the bromide ion content the amount. The reaction equation is as follows. Br- 3ClO →- BrO3- 3Cl- BrO3- 6I- 6H → 3I2 3H2O Br- I2 2S2O3 →2- 2I- S4O62-

4 reagent

Unless otherwise specified, only use analytical reagents. 4.1 Water. Distilled water or deionized water, which meets the requirements of Grade 3 water in GB/T 6682. 4.2 Calcium oxide (CaO). 4.3 Boric acid (H3BO3). 4.4 Potassium iodide (KI). 4.5 Hydrochloric acid solution (1 1). Measure 500mL concentrated hydrochloric acid, pour it into 500mL water and mix well, then cool to room temperature for later use. Operation in a fume hood. 4.6 Sodium hypochlorite solution (11). 500mL antifomin (sodium hypochlorite solution, available chlorine ≥10.0%), add 500mL water and mix Evenly, keep for 1 month below 18℃. Operation in a fume hood. 4.7 Sodium formate solution (0.2g/g). Weigh.200g of sodium formate and add 800g of water to dissolve it. If the solution is turbid, use after filtering. 4.8 Sodium thiosulfate standard titration solution [c(Na2S2O3)=0.1mol/L; c(Na2S2O3)=0.05mol/L; c(Na2S2O3)= 0.01mol/L] 4.8.1 Configuration
