The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 aerodynamic diameter Unit density (ρ0=1 g/cm 3), when moving at a low Reynolds number in still air, it achieves the same final sink as the actual particle. Diameter at deceleration. 3.2 Particulate matter (particle size less than or equal to 10 µm) particulate matter (PM10) Particulate matter in ambient air with an aerodynamic diameter of less than or equal to 10 µm, also known as respirable particulate matter. 3.3 Particulate matter (particle size less than or equal to 2.5 µm) particulate matter (PM2.5) Particles in ambient air with aerodynamic diameters less than or equal to 2.5 µm, also known as fine particles. 3.4 Cutter particle separate device A device with the function of separating particles of different particle sizes in the atmosphere. 3.5 50% cut-point diameter (Da50) The particle aerodynamic diameter corresponding to the particle collection efficiency of the cutter is 50%. 3.6 Geometric standard deviation of sampling efficiency (σg) The geometric standard deviation of the particle capture efficiency of the cutter has the following two expressions. a) The particle aerodynamic diameter Da16 corresponding to the collection efficiency of 16% and the particle aerodynamic force corresponding to the collection efficiency of 50% The ratio of scientific diameter Da50; b) The corresponding particle aerodynamic diameter Da50 when the capture efficiency is 50% and the corresponding particle aerodynamic force when the capture efficiency is 84% The ratio of the scientific diameter to Da84. 3.7 standard state The state when the temperature is 273.15 K and the pressure is 101.325 kPa. 3.8 actual state The temperature is the actual ambient temperature, and the pressure is the state of the actual ambient atmospheric pressure. The concentration values of particulate matter in the performance test of this standard are all Concentration value in actual state. 3.9 reference method Standard methods published by countries or industries. 3.10 parallelism The root mean square of the relative standard deviation of the measurement data for each batch. 3.11 dynamic heating system A device that adjusts the heating power of the sampling tube according to the relative humidity value of the sampling airflow and reduces the interference of moisture. 3.12 compensation system for volatile particulates A device capable of compensating for the loss of volatile components in particulates and reducing moisture interference.
