Summary: This standard specifies two methods for measuring the melting point of polyamide. Is an arbitrary melting point temperature measured with the fact that it has a range of temperatures. For a homopolymer concerned, this range is only a few degrees. Determination of the melting point of the polyamide oligomer are useful to characterize, and is less useful for the purposes of the copolymer, the copolymer due to the melting range may be quite wide. Both methods described in this standard, which is very close to any of the test results, the results once the two methods is also extremely consistent.
