1 Scope

This document specifies requirements and test methods for the characteristics of thermal storage systems. This document gives information on determining the performance and functional characteristics of direct and indirect active sensible heat storage systems for solar thermal power plants. It is applicable to parabolic trough, Fresnel and tower solar thermal power stations using fluid heat storage media. This document includes the test process and result report of the heat storage system charging and discharging.
